John’s wheelhouse is operating and innovating emerging food and consumer product brands. For more than two decades, John has founded, and managed the development, launch and growth of numerous food and beverage consumer products. He excels in the leadership of people and teams to unlock creativity and provide a clear vision and path to success.

Currently, John is CEO and co-founder of Cocktail Squad, a fast growing line of premium liquor based canned cocktails now distributed in more than 15 states. He has also served as CEO, co-founder and senior executive for other successful brands including Boulder Canyon Chips (sold to Utz Foods), American Outdoor Products (Backpacker’s Pantry, Colorado Spice and Astronaut Foods), Snacklemouth, and Clementine Art.

In addition, John has served as a Board Member, Advisor and investor in numerous other brands including Justin’s, Jackson’s Honest, Thanasi Foods (BIGS sunflower seeds and Dukes meat snacks), Ocean’s Halo, Good Day Chocolate, and AF Ventures, a highly regarded consumer products venture capital firm.

John is a graduate of University of Miami including entrepreneurial studies at the Kellogg School of Management. He is also an Informational Coach for the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business, working with students who wish to explore entrepreneurial career paths. A husband and father of four children, John is a self-proclaimed adventure seeker, lover of live music, food, skiing and golf.
